It's more than a candle.

We started Red Hook Candle Co. with a simple idea: a candle is more than just wax and a wick. It’s a ritual. It’s the best part of your day. It’s a small act of self-care that turns an ordinary moment into something sacred.
In a world that moves too fast, we believe in the quiet magic of a single flame—the way it slows time, clears the mind, and makes you want to stay home a little longer.

We make our candles the way we think they should be made: by hand, with clean ingredients, in a Brooklyn studio that smells like sandalwood and beeswax. We use a sustainable blend of coconut wax and artisan beeswax sourced from the very places that inspire our scents—local apiaries in upstate New York, the Pacific Northwest, and the deserts of the Southwest. Every fragrance is phthalate-free, and every candle is poured with care. 

There are no shortcuts here, just a slow, intentional process that we think makes a better candle.

We’re not trying to change the world. We’re just trying to make the corner of it where you live a little warmer, a little calmer, and a little more yours.
